In 2014, Iris and May set out on a mission: to create baby essentials that are as pure and safe as a parent’s love. Drawing on years of experience designing toys and clothing for little ones in the U.S. and China, they founded Cottonbebe — one of the pioneering Chinese brands to use 100% organic cotton for babies. Every piece is thoughtfully crafted to nurture comfort, safety, and sustainability from day one.

We began with a single store in Shenzhen, growing to over 20 locations across major cities like Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, and Wuhan. More than just shops, they were spaces where families experienced the comfort of organic cotton. Today, Cottonbebe is fully online, reaching parents everywhere — but our heart remains the same, and we hope to welcome you soon.
Design and Style
From the beginning, Cottonbebe embraced simplicity with collections in white, beige, and soft green—the natural hues of organic cotton. Free from chemicals, each piece reflected the purity of the fabric through minimalist, playful designs that captured the spirit of childhood. As we grew, we introduced gentle, plant-based dyes, adding nature-inspired colors while staying true to our roots: timeless, minimal designs made with the finest organic cotton.
Meet our founder, May
May has been a children’s merchandise manufacturing expert for nearly 40 years — and as a devoted mother of three, she deeply understands what children truly need. Combining her decades of craftsmanship with the wisdom gained from motherhood, she knows how to create products that are safe, functional, and filled with love.
When she met Iris, they immediately discovered a shared passion: to create a baby products brand that celebrates aesthetics, purity, and care. Together, they envisioned a collection that is free from harmful chemicals, gentle on delicate skin, and designed to bring beauty and comfort to every baby’s world..
